AROMATHERAPY ADVANTAGE

My name is Wendy-Jane Saywaker.  I have worked as a personal assistant in various companies for many years.  In 2000 I discovered a wonderful Remedial Massage Course through the College of Healing Therapies run by Maureen Harmony.  This opened my eyes to a whole new world of exciting possibilities.  I completed my Diploma of Remedial Massage, followed by the Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage, and discovered Essential Oils and Aromatherapy.  I was definitely hooked.   Naturally, I was drawn to do the Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy and consequently followed it up with the Advanced Diploma of Aromatherapy.

I left my job of the time to concentrate on my Massage and Aromatherapy with clients in Bathurst and Oberon.  I continued to do other short courses:  Myofascial Release Techniques, Meridian Massage, more Clinical Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki and other energetic healing modalities.  I have a wealth of life experience to complement these skills.

My aromatherapy range, including a Skincare range under the brand Wise Women, was just taking off.  A 12 year detour to own and manage our multi award winning Vineyard Motel in Cowra, made it impossible for me to do anything further with my Massage/Aromatherapy skills.

Towards the end of 2019, the country was still experiencing drought, we had massive dust storms, shocking heatwaves, followed by the horrific bushfires and smoky air for weeks, then floods.  This continued on into February 2020.  In March 2020, the Covid 19 virus was spreading until it came to be a worldwide pandemic in April, 2020.  Everyone was told to stay home and no unnecessary travel = no guests.

The Covid 19 Lockdown was a blessing for me. I believe that my Skills as a Professional Clinical Aromatherapist could help protect my community a little more.  I felt that better hygiene and hand sanitisers (which work on germs and bacteria) just weren’t enough.  I made an Anti-Viral blend called Winter Warrior,  using the Essential Oils that are proven active against all three (3) categories of infectious organisms – Bacteria, Viruses, and Fungi.
